Supported Charity 2016

To Sponsor me please go to:  http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/LucasKeepsRunning

Chris Britton – Lucas’ fellow cyclist on the Golden Post Box challenge – selected to support Tree of Hope – a charity based in Bristol.  Tree of Hope support children with Cerebral Palsy and fundraising goes to a specific nominated child where requested. In this case, all donations will go towards Jaye Cook.

Jaye has recently been accepted for an operation at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, which will hopefully help Jaye to walk unaided.
Unfortunately this has to be paid for at approximately £55,000.  One third of all the donations made via Virginmoneygiving will go towards this fund.  We hope to meet with Jaye and his family when we pass through Bristol on Wednesday 4 June between the boxes in Bradford on Avon (Ed McKeever Canoe Sprint Kayak single 200m) and Cardiff (Geriant Thomas Men’s cycling Team Pursuit)

We hope to bring more news of Jaye in due course.
If you wish to donate directly to Jaye’s cause you can do so by texting

 jaye99 £2 / £5 / £10 to 70070

(note we will not beware this is through this fundraising initiate)

For more information and to see Newsletters and more, have a look at the Tree of Hope website - http://www.treeofhope.org.uk/

Chris first met Jaye Cook as a result of his family being neighbours of his cousin.  Chris calls round to see the family – Mel and Martin, Jaye’s parents, as well as Jaye to see how they are.

Jaye was born 10 weeks early and at the age of 18 months was found to have Cerebral Palsy.  The day to day task of walking, that almost everyone takes for granted is not the case for 5 year old Jaye.
